A week before the universitywas closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Applied Linguistics study program held a public lecture "Foreign Language Curriculum Development" with Dr. George Jacobs from Responsible Future, Singapore. This event was held for 5 days, from Monday to Friday, March 2-6, 2020. The public lecture was attended by all Applied Linguistics study program students, both batch 2018 and 2019. The material presented was very useful because it was from morning to late noon, students are given the theory first. After that, students are asked to do the practice, by implementing cooperative learning. Therefore, from Monday to Friday, each student makes a presentation. The emphasis of the material presented by Dr. This Jacobs is how everyone can have their respective roles in the group. In addition, besides delivering materials about Cooperative Learning and Curriculum abroad, Dr. George Jacobs also delivered material about Educational Psychology Theories for FLA, Simple and Powerful Strategies in Classroom management, as well as material on Ecolinguistics (which is around students).
